My Urban Outfitters shipment arrived and everything is so cute! I love it all. I still need to unwrap the duvet cover and put together the end table, so I think I'll do that tonight!
This is a really simple post.......but I know I haven't written much lately so I thought I'd just be excited today about my new condo goodies.
There's only 1 month left before I SHOULD know that everything is ready and I can close on the condo. This week I am going to paint the vanity for the bathroom at Sandy's house...it'll be a pretty espresso brown color. And this weekend I may paint my armoir the same color. So that'll be fun and make me feel like I'm actually getting something done!
Otherwise I really do need to wait until I get closer to closing before I buy much else.......the laminate floors I'm going to wait to buy until right before we are ready to lay (or before we take up the carpet). I might have to drive to Spokane to get the flooring I want, but hopefully Costco in Lewiston will have it in stock.
Going to contact another contractor this week possibly to get one more bid for installing the shower!

Recent Purchases from Urban Outfitters
Today I bought the bird duvet cover! Pretty excited. Because it was all on sale + free shipping, I got this cute white end table, and also this 5x7 area rug. I think it'll be perfect for the living room w/the new couch and laminate floors, and just the right size.
These are versatile pieces and I can use them in a bedroom or tv, living room, no matter where I live, so I'm excited I got them on sale!
I'm so ready to get the show on the road.......just have to keep practicing patience. Looks like a few of us are going to lay the laminate floors. I'm most excited about this part of the renovation. The wood floors will really open the space up and make it feel so much bigger. Pretty sure the paint will happen first, then the bathroom, THEN the floors.

A few ideas w/photos
Here is the idea I am using for my bathroom. The espresso colored vanity and blue paint mainly. As of now the plan is to have the same laminate floor go into the bathroom. And then I have a really fun Paris themed shower curtain from Urban Outfitters!
And this is the duvet cover I want to get from Urban Outfitters. My current down comforter is from high school and is ready to be replaced. The walls in my bedroom will be a light soft grey color I think (like in Carly's room) and this bedding will compliment it!

Interest Rate
Locked in at 5.5% interest rate for the condo. Not TOOO bad! :) I've decided to lay the laminate floors myself with help of some friends and family hopefully. It'll save lots of money on contractor labor fees! But I will pay someone to take care of my bathroom shower (putting in a wall insert). I have the Espresso color paint to paint the bathroom vanity I'm buying from my friend Sandy. We'll probably do that this weekend or the very near future. Otherwise I need to be patient and put a little hold on all the planning. The month of April will be sort of my last big waiting period before I know everything is official!
I am fairly sure I'm getting black appliances though so that's exciting :)

Thinking........
Everyone cross your fingers for me that things play out nicely and in my favor over the next few months! I really want everything to fall into place as I've intended and planned. So please think positive! I am very excited about my new home, and really excited to have these summer projects updating the condo. It'll be lots of fun to have friends and family come over, help out, and I'll feed you all with food and beer (and the Corner Club)! I imagine coming home after work, putting on my shorts and some good music, and painting cabinets, decorating, and organizing!
So let's all hope this all plays out how I'm hoping it will!

A Kitchen Idea - Thanks Carly!
I like this kitchen! This is along the lines of what I've been thinking I would do with the kitchen. Mainly painting the cabinets white (they are brown now) and doing some dark hardware, probably black. I like the dark countertop and appliances too. Yay for the idea, Carly! Minus the green paint. Cute, but not for my kitchen. My kitchen has the same kind of overhead cabinets like this one too! Also, the laminate floor I'd like to lay will be similar in style/color to the floors you see here.
Before
by the way, this is NOT my condo........these are examples of what white paint can do to transform a kitchen! And don't fret--- I WILL post photos of what the condo looks like now and how it looks as I remodel, update, paint, etc. Just haven't had a chance to upload the photos I have of the condo. It has not been updated once, and was built in 1978 so just use your imagination ;)

The Couch (or 'coach' as I said to Mom!)
Here is my new couch! It's smaller than it appears in the picture. Just the right size for a small condo! I'm excited about it :) The colors in the place will be mostly neutral, with black accents in the picture frames and my 'Asian screen'. So I think this color couch will be nice. And great later in the future for a small tv room if I one day live in a larger house.
